Jadayah Spencer

Co-chair, Youth Sub-committee, ICSW For The Permanent Forum For People Of African Descent at United Nations

Jadayah Spencer serves as the Main Representative for the International Youth Leadership Institute at the United Nations since 2014, where notable contributions include being awarded as a Young Pacesetter for African Development in May 2022. As Co-Chair of the Youth Sub-Committee for the International Civil Society Working Group, Jadayah advocates for youth voices in UN forums, leads team initiatives for youth representation, and oversees multilingual event coordination. Additionally, Jadayah co-chairs the Youth Representative Steering Committee, advising on youth engagement strategies across various UN Member States. Current roles include Executive Director and Nomination Committee Chair at the International Youth Leadership Institute, and involvement with Robin Hood's Communi-Fi initiative, aimed at addressing digital equity in New York City. Jadayah’s background includes fellowships with StartingBloc and NYU, as well as conducting research at the American Museum of Natural History. Jadayah holds an Anthropology degree from New York University with minors in Social Entrepreneurship and East Asian Studies.
