Eugene Uwimana is an accomplished communications specialist currently working with the FAO since December 2021, while also serving as a freelance reporter for TRT World and Voice of America since 2020. Eugene has extensive experience in journalism, including roles as a photo and video journalist for the European Pressphoto Agency and video journalist for Xinhua News Agency. Prior to these positions, Eugene was an information management officer and creative designer for the United Nations, focusing on digital communications related to COVID-19. Previous roles include editor in chief at Radio10/TV10 and a representative and correspondent at ACTUROUTES. Eugene's educational background includes a Master's degree in Development Studies from Universite Libre de Kigali and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communication from the School of Journalism and Communication. Additionally, Eugene has a certificate in languages, specifically English, French, and Kinyarwanda.
