Aderemi Adekoya is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in peacekeeping and post-conflict stabilization, primarily with the United Nations. Currently serving as a Senior Adviser since December 2018, Aderemi has held various pivotal roles at the United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID), including Principal Coordination Officer and Chief of Service for Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration. Aderemi has successfully managed and coordinated significant programs, providing strategic guidance on security arrangements and DDR initiatives. Previous positions with the UN include planning officer roles in conflict-affected regions like Somalia and Sudan, as well as serving as Reintegration Coordinator in Sierra Leone. Aderemi's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree from Delhi College of Engineering.
