Haoyun S. has extensive experience in data journalism and multimedia advocacy, currently serving as a Project Advocacy and Reporting Consultant at the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation since July 2021. Prior to this role, Haoyun held positions such as Deputy Editor at Data-Viz.cn, where leadership in multimedia projects was demonstrated, and served as a Lecturer at Communication University of China for a data journalism course. Previous engagements include roles at United Nations OCHA as a Data Storytelling Consultant and Data Fellow, and various data-centric positions at The Paper, The Indianapolis Star, USA TODAY, and the Investigative Reporting Workshop. Haoyun holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting from Beijing International Studies University.
