Fernando Perez Britto is a seasoned entrepreneur and leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and sustainable urban development. As the Founder and CEO of AI Systems Research Ltda. (AISR) since 2004, Fernando has specialized in innovative AI-based solutions and decision support systems. Additionally, Fernando founded the Making Smart Cities Initiative in 2014, focusing on creating inclusive and resilient urban environments. Fernando holds several key positions with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, including Global Board Vice-Chair and co-chair of the Stakeholder Engagement Mechanism. Other ventures include founding Hub 4 Impact and INOVACE Studio, which prioritize sustainable practices and human-centered design. Fernando is also an angel investor with GVAngels and a partner at it rocks ideas+technology, supporting innovative communication strategies through AI. Academic achievements include a Master’s degree in Intelligence Technologies and Digital Design and a B.S. in Computer Science.
