Alper Aras is an economist with extensive experience in financial and economic consultancy roles within major international organizations. Currently serving as an economist at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) since August 2022, Alper Aras has also worked with UNDP as an International SDG Financial Instruments Expert and UNCDF as a Financial Structuring Consultant in early 2022. A background in banking expertise was developed through a decade-long tenure at the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, complemented by an IMF consultancy.
