Seh Lih Long is a seasoned human rights professional with extensive experience in various capacities. Currently serving as a Human Rights Officer at the United Nations Human Rights since April 2020, Seh Lih Long has previously held the same title with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia from September 2018 to April 2020. Notable earlier positions include serving as CEO of the Malaysian Centre for Constitutionalism and Human Rights from January 2012 to January 2018 and various roles at the United Nations including Human Rights Officer for UNMIT and UNAMA, where responsibilities spanned human rights education, electoral monitoring, and investigations into violations. Prior experience also includes leadership at the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia, overseeing law reform and international treaties. Seh Lih Long holds a joint LLM in Law from the University of Nottingham and the University of Maastricht, along with an LLB (Hons) in Law from Aberystwyth University.
