Human Rights And Gender Officer at United Nations Human Rights

Sara Lodi is a seasoned human rights professional currently serving as a Human Rights Officer in the Economic Social and Cultural Rights Unit at the United Nations since May 2021. Responsibilities include providing technical assistance for human rights advocacy, documenting and analyzing human rights situations, especially related to the right to water and adequate living standards, and monitoring cases involving the criminalization of human rights defenders. Previous experience includes roles as a Protection Officer at Peace Brigades International, where Sara led advocacy actions and field missions, as well as internships with the European External Action Service and the World Organisation against Torture. Sara holds multiple degrees, including an MA in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies and an MA in Human Rights Law from prestigious institutions such as the University of London and SOAS.
