Aitor Liendo Villar is a Human Rights Officer currently working with the United Nations Human Rights since August 2021. Previous experience includes serving as a Teaching Fellow at Esade from February 2019 to July 2023, and working in various human rights roles, including Human Rights Officer & Advocacy at AlterNativa Intercanvi amb Pobles IndÃgenes, Human Rights Officer at SETEM, and Assistant at the Human Rights Law Centre within the University of Nottingham. Aitor also completed a Blue Book Traineeship with the European Commission and gained experience as a Trainee Lawyer at Cuatrecasas. Aitor holds an LLM in International Law from the University of Nottingham, a Master of Laws & Legal Practice from Universitat de Barcelona, and a Bachelor of Laws with an Economics Specialisation from the University of Deusto. In addition to these qualifications, Aitor is pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in the Right to Freedom of Expression at the University of Buenos Aires and has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Elections, Political Representation and Electoral Governance at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
