Emily Jones

Executive For Racial Justice at United Methodist Women

Emily Jones is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and advocacy roles focused on social justice and community engagement. Since January 2018, Emily has served as the Executive for Racial Justice at United Women in Faith. Prior to this role, Emily was the Director & Lead Organizer at the Rhode Island Interfaith Coalition to Reduce Poverty from August 2015 to October 2017. Emily's earlier positions include Senior School Partnership Specialist and School Partnership Specialist at Communities In Schools of Chicago from September 2010 to August 2015, as well as Associate Pastor for Discipleship and Student Pastor for Discipleship at Urban Village Church from May 2011 to June 2014. Emily began the professional journey as an Organizer at New England Health Care Employees Union / SEIU 1199 from January 2007 to August 2009. Educationally, Emily holds a Master of Divinity degree from Chicago Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies and Ethnicity, Race & Migration from Yale University.
