Velma R. Tamez, AIC, has extensive experience in claims management and workers' compensation, currently serving as a Sr Claims Representative at United Heartland since May 2015. Prior to this role, Velma worked at AIG as a Workers Compensation specialist from June 2014 to May 2015. Velma's career also includes significant positions at EMPLOYERS, where responsibilities included Claims Manager, Quality Assurance Specialist II, Supervisor, and Workers Compensation Adjuster from May 2006 to April 2014. Earlier roles include a Workers Compensation Adjuster at Sedgwick, Inc. for a brief period in early 2006 and an Auto/Bodily Injury/Workers Compensation Adjuster at Travelers from July 1998 to December 2005.
