Chip Wright is a seasoned aviation professional with extensive experience as a Captain of the Boeing 737 at United Airlines since June 2013, and a First Officer at Trans States Airlines prior to that. From November 1996 to September 2012, Chip served as a Captain, Line Check Airman, and Instructor at Comair, gaining valuable experience in regional jet operations. In addition to piloting, Chip has been a freelance writer for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) since 2000, contributing articles on a range of topics for AOPA Pilot magazine. Chip has also served as a public speaker for the AOPA Air Safety Foundation, conducting seminars aimed at enhancing aviation safety and pilot knowledge. Chip Wright holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Stetson University, earned in 1993.
