Barend Smit is currently serving as an Area Sales Manager at Unitec SpA, where responsibilities include developing new business, engaging with the International Sales and Technical Team, and maintaining customer relationships by understanding their needs and providing relevant information. Prior to this role, Barend worked as a Technical Sales Representative at Timac Agro South Africa, focusing on client relationship management and sales of specialized products. Additionally, Barend gained experience as an Agricultural Drone Specialist at Integrated Aerial Systems, where mission planning and customer engagement were key duties. Barend is pursuing a Master of Science in Agriculture at the University of South Africa, following a Postgraduate Diploma in Agribusiness Management and a Bachelor of Agriculture in Agribusiness Management from Stellenbosch University. Barend completed secondary education at Piketberg High School, earning a National Senior Certificate.
