Carol Alagna has extensive experience in claims adjudication and training within the healthcare industry. Currently serving as a Claims Adjudicator II at UNITE HERE HEALTH since November 2024, Carol previously held the position of Claims Adjudicator at Nova Healthcare Administrators, Inc. Following that, Carol worked as a Training Specialist at Stark Tech Group and as a Federal Employee Program Operations Consultant at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York, where responsibilities included training department staff to assist with health insurance needs. Carol's career also includes a role as Corporate Claims Supervisor at HealthNow New York Inc., where management of a team of 20 employees and resolution of high dollar claim escalations were key duties. Carol began the career as a Customer Service Representative. Educational qualifications include a Coding and Billing Certificate from the Adult Learning Center.
