Thibaut Paschal has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2015, they co-founded MotionPilot, a Swiss technology startup focused on consumer drones, where they led mechanical design and developed a patented haptic feedback system. The technology was later sold to a leading drone manufacturer, resulting in the release of a flagship global product.
Thibaut then worked as a Marine Robotics Researcher at NCCR Robotics in 2017 and as a Soft Robotics Researcher at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering and the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences from 2018-2019.
In 2018, they joined Philip Morris International as a Manufacturing Engineer before transitioning to a role as a Data Management Analyst and later as a Robotic Process Automation Specialist at UBS. In these positions, they played a key role in automation and digital transformation programs, managing a large fleet of RPA robots and leading the transition to a global operating model.
Thibaut's most recent role, starting in 2022, is with Unit8 as a Senior Data & AI Consultant. Here, they help non-digital companies and institutions accelerate their digital transformation using data science, analytics, and AI.

Thibaut Paschal has a diverse education history. Thibaut obtained their French Baccalaureate with a specialization in Science and Mathematics from Saint Louis de Gonzague-Franklin in 2013. Thibaut then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Micro-Engineering at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), graduating in 2016.
After completing their bachelor's degree, Thibaut Paschal continued their studies at EPFL and obtained a Master of Science degree in Micro-Engineering, Robotics, and Mechatronics in 2019. During their master's program, they also pursued a Master Thesis at Harvard University, focusing on Soft Robotics at the Harvard Microrobotics Laboratory under the guidance of Professor Robert J. Wood from 2018 to 2019.
In addition to their formal education, Thibaut Paschal has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skill set. Thibaut completed the Palantir Foundry Application Developer Associate certification from Palantir Technologies in June 2023. In January 2023, they gained expertise in Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals from Databricks. Thibaut obtained the Dataiku Core Designer certification from Dataiku in October 2022. In April 2021, they completed the Ethereum Blockchain Developer Bootcamp from Udemy and also acquired knowledge in Introduction to Blockchain Technologies and Transacting on the Blockchain through the courses offered by INSEAD on Coursera. Furthermore, they completed the Automation Anywhere RPA Professional certification from Automation Anywhere in May 2019 and the CTI Start-up and Entrepreneurship program in December 2015.
