Jonas Racine has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. In 2022, they joined the company Unit8 as a Data Scientist. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelance Developer starting from 2014. From 2019 to 2021, Jonas served as a Doctoral Student at EPFL, where they conducted research on discrete optimization problems related to rail freight transportation in collaboration with SBB Cargo. During this time, they also supervised student research projects. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Student Assistant at EPFL's Data Science Lab, where they analyzed on-campus transactions and provided support for successful grant proposals. Jonas also gained experience as an Academic Intern at CSEM in 2017 and as a Trainee at the Science & Technology Office Tokyo, collaborating with other offices to create a web-based annual report on Science & Technology activities in Asia and reporting on the Japanese start-up ecosystem. In 2013, they interned at Everplaces, where they developed a social media strategy and built an analytics platform for social media marketing insights.

Jonas Racine began their education in 2009 at ECAL, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Visual Communication with a focus on Photography. Jonas then attended Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg from 2012 to 2015, graduating with a BSc in Mathematics. Following this, from 2016 to 2019, Jonas pursued their Master of Science (MS) in Applied Mathematics at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). Additionally, in 2011, they briefly attended the School of Visual Arts to further deepen their studies in the field of Photography.
