Elina Hessels is an experienced professional in the field of analytical development and bioprocessing, currently serving as Associate Director Analytical Platforms at uniQure since August 2015. Prior to this role, Elina held positions including Senior Scientist/Lead Analytical Development and Scientist in Analytical Development. Elina's career spans several organizations, beginning as an Analyst/Senior Analyst/Senior Bioprocess Developer at Solvay Pharmaceuticals from 2000 to 2008, followed by a role as Senior Bioprocess Developer at Solvay Biologicals until 2010, and later as a Scientist at Abbott Biologicals until July 2015. Educationally, Elina obtained a Master’s degree in Biomolecular Sciences from Utrecht University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Hogeschool IJselland.
