Claire O'Meara is currently the Director of Advocacy (interim) at UNICEF UK and Head of External Affairs. Claire has a background in disaster risk management, with previous roles as a Senior Private Sector Adviser at Save the Children UK and Regional Technical Coordinator for Disaster Risk Management at HANDICAP INTERNATIONAL. Claire has also worked in research consultancy roles at various organizations, contributing to the development of guidelines for cash transfer programs and community disaster risk reduction. Claire holds a BA Hons in English Literature and Language from The University of Sheffield and an MSc in Social Development Practice from UCL.
