Dan Albert has a diverse work experience in various sectors. Dan began their career at Weber + Thompson in 2007 as an Ecological Designer, working until 2010. Dan then worked at Cutler Anderson Architects as a Landscape Designer in 2011. From 2012 to 2014, they served as a Designer and Project Manager at Weisman Design Group, focusing on landscape architecture projects. In 2012, they founded Farmbox Greens, a sustainable urban farm, where they served as the Founder & General Manager until 2016 when it was acquired by Charlie's Produce. At Charlie's Produce, they held several roles, including Interim General Manager, Director of Controlled Environment Agriculture, and Capital Projects & Infrastructure Advisor. Since 2020, they have been working as the Vice President of Engineering & Operations at Unfold.
Dan Albert completed a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Washington in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained an MLA degree in Landscape Architecture from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, which they attended from 2004 to 2007. In 2003, they earned a B.A. degree in Graphic Design from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
In addition to their formal education, Dan Albert has obtained several certifications. In 2015, they became HACCP Certified through the International HACCP Alliance. In 2014, they completed the Greenhouse Plant Physiology & Technology certification from the University of Arizona College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. In 2011, they obtained the Greenhouse Crop Production + Engineering Design - Short Course certification from the University of Arizona - CEAC. In 2008, they became LEED AP BD+C certified through the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).
