Stefanie Garry has a diverse range of work experience. Stefanie started their career as a Sponsorship Intern at Women for Women International in 2005. Stefanie then went on to work as a Grantmaking Intern at the Global Fund for Children in 2006. In 2007, they became an Education for Success Specialist at Community Impact at Columbia University. Stefanie transitioned to the role of Research and Policy Intern at the Urban Justice Center in 2008. Later that year, they became a Planning Fellow at the Manhattan Borough President's Office. In 2009, they joined the International Labour Organization as a Technical Officer. In 2012, they became an Associate Economic Affairs Officer at ECLAC, where they worked until 2017. Currently, they are working as an Economic Affairs Officer at UNCTAD.

From 2019 to 2020, they attended SDA Bocconi and obtained an Executive Master in Management of International Organizations, specializing in Business/Managerial Economics.
Between 2007 and 2009, Stefanie pursued their M.Sc. degree in Development Economics and International Development from Columbia University.
Starting in 2003 and ending in 2007, they attended The George Washington University, where they earned their B.A. degree. The field of study for their bachelor's degree is not specified.
Additionally, Stefanie completed a professional certification in Professional Communication: Business Writing and Storytelling from The Economist in February 2023.
