Marie Engel possesses extensive experience in international development and partnership management. Currently serving as the Multi-county Office Director for UNAIDS, overseeing operations in Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, Marie has held various leadership roles within the organization, including Country Director a.i. for the Central African Republic and Senior Regional Programme Adviser for West and Central Africa. Previous positions include Strategic Policy and Partnership Adviser in the United Republic of Tanzania and Senior Adviser to the Deputy Executive Director. Prior to UNAIDS, Marie worked at UNICEF as Private Sector Partnership Adviser and Head of Private Sector Fundraising for the French National Committee. Marie began the career as a Project Manager at Newsport. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in International Relations from HEC Paris, a Certificate in Understanding Economic, Social and Cultural Rights from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, and an HEC MBA University Exchange in Finance from ITESM.
