Tafadzwa Dhlakama is a professional with extensive experience in climate policy and environmental management, currently serving as an Associate Program Officer at UN Climate Change since June 2023. Previously, Tafadzwa worked as a Climate Adviser in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, focusing on climate mitigation policies. With a background in partnership coordination at UNDP, Tafadzwa facilitated strategic collaborations for the implementation of Zimbabwe's Nationally Determined Contributions and Long Term Low Emissions Development Strategy. Earlier roles included Project Coordinator at Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, Legal Researcher at Zimbabwe Environmental Law Association, and research assistant during the LLM program at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Tafadzwa holds an MBA in Energy and Sustainability from the University of Cumbria and various certifications in climate financing and governance.
