Padraig Oliver is an experienced professional in climate finance and environmental policy, currently serving as a Programme Officer for Climate Finance at UNFCCC since June 2019. Prior roles include Manager and Senior Analyst at Climate Policy Initiative, where responsibilities encompassed the evaluation of climate finance mechanisms, project design, and business development. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research Manager at the Climate Bonds Initiative, focusing on the green bond market and standard development. Padraig Oliver has also worked as an Energy and Climate Strategy Consultant at Azure International and as Project Manager at Development Solutions, overseeing EU funded capacity building projects. Academic credentials include an MSc in Environment Technology from Imperial College London and a BA in History and Politics from University College Dublin.
