Alyssa Lawrence is an experienced compliance and privacy professional with a comprehensive background in health law. Currently serving as the Assistant Vice President for Compliance and Privacy at University of Miami Health System since May 2017, Alyssa has held multiple leadership roles within the organization, including Executive Director and Senior Director of Regulatory Compliance. Prior experience includes working as a National Health Compliance Analyst at Segal Consulting, where Alyssa provided tailored compliance solutions and training on health benefits legislation. Earlier roles encompass a law clerk position at Beighley, Myrick and Udell, P.A., an ethics and compliance internship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, and various internships focusing on legal research and compliance within health care. Alyssa holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and International Studies from the University of Miami.
