Thomas d'Amato is a seasoned cardiovascular surgeon and medical executive with extensive experience in surgical education and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Cardiovascular Surgeon and Medical Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center, as well as a Clinical Adjunct Associate Professor of Surgery at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, Thomas has held several significant positions throughout their career, including Specialty Leader Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery in the US Navy Reserve and Chairman of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at ValleyCare Health Systems. Educationally, Thomas holds an MD from Thomas Jefferson University, a PhD in Biological Science from Binghamton University, and multiple degrees from Drexel University College of Medicine, Eastern Virginia Medical School, and Penn State University, highlighting a strong foundation in medicine and biological sciences.
