Scott Campion has had extensive work experience in the aerospace and engineering industry. Scott most recently worked as a GNC Engineer at Umbra starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were a Space Mission Systems Engineer at Jacobs from 2018 to 2023. Before Jacobs, they worked as a Systems Engineer at Radiant Solutions from 2017 to 2018 and at RadiantBlue Technologies from 2016 to 2018. Scott also has experience as a Guidance, Navigation & Controls Engineer at Swales Aerospace / ATK / Orbital ATK from 2003 to 2016. Scott started their career at SSAI as a Data Technician from 2001 to 2003.

Scott Campion attended the University of Maryland from 1998 to 2002, where they pursued a degree in Mathematics. During their time at the university, they focused on Mathematics, Astronomy, and Physics as their fields of study.
