Marc Simmonds is an experienced geoscientist currently serving as the Exploration Manager for the Pinedale field at Ultra Petroleum since February 2015, overseeing geoscience and exploration activities in the Greater Green River Basin. Previously, Marc held the position of Exploration Manager at Forest Oil Corporation from January 1998 to January 2015, managing exploration efforts in the Mid Continent Business Unit. Early in the career, Marc also served as a Senior Advising Geophysicist and Exploration Manager for the Alaska Business Unit at Forest Oil. Educationally, Marc possesses a Master’s Degree in Geophysics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geophysics, along with a minor in Geology/Earth Science, all earned from the Colorado School of Mines between 1985 and 1990.
