Al Bryant is a seasoned professional in the healthcare field, currently serving as a Healthcare Accreditation Specialist and Senior Assessment Manager for Medical Laboratories at UKAS since November 2014, where responsibilities include assessing medical laboratories for compliance with ISO15189. Prior to this role, Al worked at NHS Trust from June 2008 to November 2014 as a Cellular Pathology Laboratory Manager, focusing on elevating the profile of Healthcare scientists. Al’s experience includes a position as Senior Biomedical Scientist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, managing the Neuropathology section from October 2004 to May 2008, and initially training in histology techniques as a Trainee/Newly Qualified Biomedical Scientist from July 2001 to September 2004. Al holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science, a Master of Science in Pathological Sciences with a specialization in Cellular Pathology, and has completed advanced training in leadership, project management, and root cause analysis.
