Jeanette Whitaker has extensive work experience in the field of ecology and hydrology. Jeanette started their career in 1998 at the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology as a Senior Research Scientist. In 2019, they joined the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology as a Principal Scientist, where they currently hold the position.
Jeanette Whitaker completed their education starting from high school at Walton High School, Nelson, from 1983 to 1988. Jeanette then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Applied Biology at Liverpool John Moores University from 1990 to 1994. Later, they attended the University of Leeds from 1994 to 1997, where they earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and another Ph.D. in Plant-Soil Science.
