Laura Petersen is a Senior Security Research Advisor at the International Union of Railways (UIC), focusing on EU-funded projects such as IMPRESS and PROACTIVE. Previously, Laura served as an International Partnership Manager at CNRS, developing partnerships for the EU H2020 funded project IDEAAL. Experience also includes roles as an Environment, Resilience and Risk Engineer at EMSC-CSEM, where key responsibilities involved managing the IMPROVER project, conducting research, and presenting findings to stakeholders, alongside earlier positions as a Junior Consultant at Deloitte France and English Teaching Assistant in France. Laura holds a Master's degree in Engineering and Management of the Environment and Sustainable Development from Université de Technologie de Troyes and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara.
