With over 20 years of experience in information technology, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and technical expertise to every project. Before joining UHS, Steve worked at Cisco Systems within Advanced Services as a Network Consulting Engineer for U.S. Service Providers. In this role, he led architectural and design initiatives for complex Service Provider networks, collaborated with clients on network optimization, and established best practices through in-depth analyses, EoX audit reports, and quarterly business reviews. He also built simulated networks to resolve compatibility issues, developed detailed documentation, and coordinated implementation plans.

Prior to his role at Cisco, Steve worked with FusionStorm as a Network Engineer III, where he performed tier III escalation troubleshooting, provided 24/7 on-call support, and helped drive network solutions across data centers in the U.S., Asia, and Europe. He played an active role on the change control board, cross-trained peers, and developed project plans for network upgrades, balancing support responsibilities with strategic planning.

In addition to hands-on experience, Steve holds multiple industry-leading certifications, including the CCIE (#32840 R&S), CCDE (Written), CCNP, and others. These certifications, which span Cisco, Microsoft, Brocade, Foundry, Citrix, and ethical hacking, reflect his commitment to maintaining cutting-edge skills in a rapidly evolving field. An avid book reader, Steve is always pursuing new knowledge and approaches to deliver exceptional results.
