Carlos Alves has extensive experience in the field of social reintegration and legal advisory. Since 2001, Carlos has served as the National Secretary and Legal Advisor at UGT - União Geral de Trabalhadores in Portugal, contributing to the organization's advocacy for workers' rights. Prior to this role, Carlos worked as a Senior Social Reintegration Technician at the Direcção Geral de Reinserção Social from June 1995 to February 2001, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Justice. Educationally, Carlos holds a degree from the Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Coimbra, completed between 1988 and 1993, and has furthered studies at the Instituto da Defesa Nacional from 2011 to 2012.
