Seong Sin Han

Chief Counsel Commercial Technology Legal Services at UEFA

Seong Sin Han has extensive work experience in the legal and commercial sectors, with a focus on sports and technology. They started their career in 1994 as a Solicitor at S J Berwin & Co, specializing in non-contentious intellectual property and commercial contracts.

In 1999, Seong Sin Han joined ISL Worldwide as a Legal Counsel before moving on to FIFA Marketing AG in 2001 as a Consultant, where they advised on marketing and sponsorship arrangements for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. They also assisted in the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup and provided local legal support in Korea.

In 2004, Seong Sin Han worked as a Business Consultant at International Cyber Marketing Ltd, advising on the internationalization of the World Cyber Games and negotiating sponsorship and commercial agreements.

In 2005, Seong Sin Han began their tenure at UEFA, initially as a Legal Counsel and later as the Head of Marketing Legal Services. They were then promoted to Chief Counsel, Commercial & Technology Legal Services in 2019. In this role, they led and managed UEFA's commercial and technology legal teams, providing strategic advice and negotiation support for various UEFA events and activities. They were also responsible for UEFA's AV Anti-Piracy Strategy and Enforcement Programme.

Currently, Seong Sin Han is also serving as an Independent Director at World Wheelchair Rugby, starting in 2021.

Overall, Seong Sin Han has acquired significant experience in media rights, sponsorship, digital platforms, and international commercial projects within the sports industry.

Seong Sin Han attended Hutchesons' Grammar School in Glasgow, Scotland from 1982 to 1988. However, no degree or field of study was specified during this period. From 1989 to 1992, Seong Sin Han pursued a Master of Arts (MA Oxon) degree in Jurisprudence at the University of Oxford.
