Paul-Antoine Dumond has a diverse work experience in the field of sports law. Paul-Antoine started their career as an Intern at the Ligue Nationale de Rugby in 2010 and then moved on to a 6-month internship at the European Rugby Cup. In 2011, they completed a month-long practicum at the Federacion Española de Rugby.
From 2012 to 2013, Dumond worked as a Legal Intern at Lotus F1 Team, where they were responsible for creating a centralized database of marketing and sponsorship rights for various partners.
In 2013, Dumond joined the Fédération Française de Volley-Ball as a Chargé de mission contrôle de gestion - Juriste. In this role, they handled the financial control of volleyball clubs and provided legal assistance to the federation on matters such as commercial contracts, legal advice, sports betting, agents, and doping.
Dumond's career then led him to FIFA, where they served as a Legal Counsel in the Players' Status Department from 2015 to 2019. In this role, they were responsible for investigating and imposing sanctions for violations of FIFA statutes, disrespect of decisions by FIFA bodies and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), as well as infractions committed in FIFA matches and competitions.
In 2020, Dumond joined UEFA as a Disciplinary Lawyer, providing legal advice and administrative support to the UEFA Organs for Administration of Justice. Paul-Antoine drafted decisions and rulings for the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body, Appeals Body, and Club Financial Control Body. Paul-Antoine also handled investigations, attended hearings, and provided legal support to other UEFA departments. Additionally, Dumond acted as an in-house lawyer for litigation cases involving the UEFA Organs for Administration of Justice under appeal before the CAS. Paul-Antoine also delivered lectures on disciplinary matters.
