Ellie Munro is an experienced researcher currently engaged at Sheffield Hallam University within the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research since May 2022. Munro has also co-led the Postgraduate Researchers as Staff Campaign for the University and College Union since November 2021. Previously, as a PhD researcher at the University of Birmingham from September 2016 to October 2022, Munro focused on the local voluntary sector with ESRC funding. A diverse background includes freelance research work from January 2015 to May 2022 for various clients, roles at Koreo and the Motor Neurone Disease Association, and research positions at NAVCA and Charityworks. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Social Policy and a Master’s degree from the University of Birmingham, along with an MA SocSci (Hons) from the University of Glasgow.
