Carson Schutze is a seasoned academic and performing arts professional with extensive experience in linguistics and music. Currently serving as a Research Professor of Linguistics at UCLA since March 1997, Carson has taken on significant roles, including Committee Chair of the Academic Senate Faculty Welfare Committee and Chair of the Student Welfare Subcommittee of the Undergraduate Council. In the realm of music, Carson has been an Independent Performing Arts Professional since September 1986, specializing as a pianist, conductor, and musical director for musical theatre. Additionally, Carson has held various roles in community organizations, including Treasurer for the Barry Court North Homeowners Association and a volunteer position at Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats.
