Dr Monique Kamat has a diverse work experience in the field of healthcare. Dr Monique is currently working as a Project Lead at UCB, where they focus on strengthening local health markets and addressing accessibility issues. Prior to this, they served as President of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)- South Asia Regional Association from 2019 to 2022. Dr Monique also worked as the Chief Executive Officer at NAROTAM SEKHSARIA FOUNDATION from 2019 to 2022. From 2015 to 2019, they held the position of Head Medical and Social Responsible at Novartis Social business - Arogya parivar India, where they worked on patient reach, pharmacovigilance, and social marketing. Dr Kamat has also served as the Director Medical at the family planning association of India from 2013 to 2015 and as the Director Project Management at fpa india from 2010 to 2012. Dr Monique began their career as a Tutor-preventive social medicine at K.J. Somaiya Medical College in 1994.

Dr. Monique Kamat has a diverse education history. Dr Monique obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the Welingkar Institute of Management from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they completed their Masters in Public Policy Analysis from Mumbai University in 2014 to 2016. In addition, they hold a Diploma in Public Health, with a focus on Community Health and Preventive Medicine, from Mumbai University Mumbai. Dr Monique also earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Mumbai University Mumbai. Lastly, they have a specialization in Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene with an AFIH degree from Mumbai University.
