Joey Murphy is a skilled professional in astronomy and astrophysics, currently holding the position of Member of Technical Staff at Limo Health since 2024. As a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow at the University of California, Santa Cruz, since 2019, Joey specializes in detecting and characterizing exoplanets, employing innovative analysis techniques for exoplanet mass-radius diagrams. Joey also has significant teaching experience, serving as a Teaching Assistant for various physics and astronomy courses at both Stanford University and the University of California, Santa Cruz, as well as co-instructing a computing course for scientists. Previously, Joey participated in the LSSTC Data Science Fellowship Program, focusing on data analysis in astronomy. Academic credentials include a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Stanford University.
