Valeria Roman currently serves as a Project Communications Specialist at UC San Diego, contributing to research and interventions focused on gender inequities and health within the Department of Medicine. Prior experience includes serving as Communications and Outreach Manager at the Imperial County Office of Education, where responsibilities encompassed managing digital content, public outreach, and collaboration across departments. Valeria also held roles as Digital Media Specialist and Foundation Manager within the Foundation for Education (ICOE), managing donor relationships and marketing initiatives. Earlier positions include Community Assistant at American Campus Communities and Undergraduate Researcher at the UC Irvine Stem Cell Research Center. Valeria holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological and Public Health Sciences from UC Irvine.
