Rashita Chauhan is currently a Junior Specialist at Huising Laboratory at the University of California, Davis, since August 2024, and previously served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Bales Laboratory, focusing on neuronal cilia and behavioral tests in Prairie Voles. Rashita has held leadership roles as Chairperson of the ASUCD Sexual Assault Awareness and Advocacy Committee, promoting trauma-informed advocacy and working on Title IX reform. Extensive experience includes serving as a Senator within ASUCD, managing a $15 million budget, and participating in committees focused on campus safety and academic transparency. Additional roles include coaching gymnastics, volunteering at the Bayanihan Clinic, and contributing to Global Medical Training initiatives. Rashita holds a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Behavior from UC Davis, completed in June 2024.
