Carl Wayne currently serves as the Executive Director of the Office of Gift Planning at the University of California, Berkeley, starting in January 2024. Previously, Carl held the position of Assistant Vice President for Planned Giving at the University of Washington from November 2021 to December 2023. Carl's extensive experience at the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association, spanning from January 2000 to November 2021, involved serving as Senior Advisor for Charitable Estate Planning, focusing on charitable gifts of non-cash assets. Carl is well-versed in collaborating with estate planning attorneys and wealth advisors across the Western USA to promote charitable giving solutions aimed at addressing heart diseases and stroke. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from UCLA and a Doctor of Law from UWLA School of Law.
