Melodie Dowdy holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and possesses extensive experience in clinical research, currently serving as a Senior Clinical Research Associate at UBC since May 2019. In this role, Melodie conducts onsite and remote monitoring visits, demonstrating a thorough understanding of project-specific protocols while maintaining strong relationships with site staff and physicians. Previous positions include Clinical Research Associate roles at PPD, where responsibilities encompassed monitoring multicenter Phase III studies, and Premier Clinical Research, overseeing clinical trial conduct and site management. Melodie began a career in clinical research as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator at various institutions, gaining expertise in trial management, regulatory compliance, and team leadership. With certifications including CCRC and a medical assistant background, Melodie is adept at mentoring and training fellow Clinical Research Associates to meet departmental goals.
