Viola Jasmine Provost

Graduate Student Wellness And Community Building Facilitator at UBC Faculty of Forestry

Viola Jasmine Provost is currently a Graduate Student Wellness and Community Building Facilitator at The University of British Columbia - Faculty of Forestry, responsible for planning and implementing community building activities for graduate students. In addition, Viola serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in various courses, focusing on enhancing students' communication and presentation skills. Previous experience includes curating a 24-hour radio program on the Fraser Estuary for Other Sights for Artists' Projects and interning at several research institutions, including the Deutsches Museum and Technical University of Munich, where Viola conducted independent research in aquatic systems biology. Viola is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at The University of British Columbia, having previously earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Freshwater and Marine Biology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
