Mahyar Panahi-Sarmad is a doctoral student at The University of British Columbia - Faculty of Forestry and concurrently works as a student researcher at the UBC BioProducts Institute since May 2023. Previously, Mahyar operated as a research associate for Jiangnan University from October 2020 to May 2023. Additionally, Mahyar has extensive experience as a reviewer for multiple prestigious journals, including those published by the Royal Society of Chemistry, American Chemical Society, Wiley, Elsevier, and IOP Publishing from 2019 to 2023. With a strong background in polymer engineering, Mahyar co-led various research projects at Baqiyatallah Medical Sciences University, focusing on bio-based materials and advanced characterization methods. Mahyar holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from The University of British Columbia, an MSc in Polymer Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University, and a BSc in Polymer Engineering from Islamic Azad University, Science And Research Branch.
