Aaron Harawa is an experienced political professional currently serving as Chief of Staff and previously as Deputy Chief of Staff and Scheduler for the U.S. House of Representatives since November 2022. In a previous role as Chief of Staff for Delegate Julian Ivey in the Maryland General Assembly, responsibilities included organizing office functions. Harawa co-owns Baobab Backpackers Lodge in Malawi, where efforts began in September 2018 to develop a new backpackers hostel. Additional experience includes positions as Deputy Campaign Manager for Gansler for Governor, Political Director for Tim Adams for Comptroller, and customer experience roles in organizations like Hungry Harvest. Harawa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Richmond.
