Laura Krapsho has extensive work experience in auditing and operations support. Laura currently serves as the Director of Quality Assurance and Operations Support at the U.S. EPA Office of Inspector General. Prior to this role, Laura worked at the Naval Audit Service for over two decades, holding positions such as Executive Director and Director of Audit Planning & Analysis. Laura also worked at the U.S. House of Representatives as a Detailee to the House Appropriations Committee Surveys and Investigations Division. Laura's work primarily involves providing advice, developing policies and procedures, conducting audits, and preparing reports for senior leaders and government agencies.
Laura Krapsho obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, graduating between 1994 and 1998. Laura also completed the Leadership for a Democratic Society Program at the Federal Executive Institute in 2011. Prior to their university education, Laura attended Central Dauphin High School. Additionally, they hold certifications including Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in 2019, Certified Internal Controls Auditor from The Institute for Internal Controls in 2011, and Certified Internal Auditor from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2006.
