Nahiomy Alvarez currently serves as a Senior Advisor in Debt Strategy and Policy at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, having assumed this role in October 2024. Prior to this, Nahiomy held the position of Senior Manager for Markets Policy at Cboe Global Markets from April 2023 to September 2024, where responsibilities included analyzing regulatory proposals and collaborating across departments to align policy priorities. Earlier experience at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago spanned from March 2018 to April 2023, initially as a Financial Analyst and later as a Financial Markets Specialist, focusing on strategic vision and high-quality analysis. Nahiomy also contributed as a Senior Associate at Hamilton Place Strategies from July 2016 to February 2018, balancing the consulting needs of various clients across multiple sectors, and started the career as a Public Policy and International Affairs Fellow at the University of Michigan in 2015. Nahiomy holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a BA in Political Economy from Williams College, and has participated in a CET Study Abroad Program in Florence, Italy.
