Carmel Arikat is a seasoned antitrust attorney currently serving as a Trial Attorney in the Antitrust Division at the U.S. Department of Justice since November 2022. Prior experience includes an Associate position at Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider LLP from September 2018 to October 2022, where focus was on litigation involving complex multi-district cases and class actions, as well as antitrust compliance and competition counseling. Earlier, Carmel practiced as an Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP from September 2011 to August 2018, handling a diverse range of federal and state litigation, including commercial disputes and intellectual property matters. Carmel began the legal career as an Intern at the U.S. Department of State in 2006. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Georgetown University.
