Cindy Marten currently serves as the Deputy Secretary of Education at the U.S. Department of Education. Previously, Cindy Marten held the position of Superintendent for the San Diego Unified School District and began their educational career as a Principal within the same district. Cindy Marten holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UC San Diego, earned during the years 1993 to 1994.
