John Payne is an experienced project manager currently working at the U.S. Copyright Office since August 2023, while also serving as a Copyright Examiner at the Library of Congress since September 2017. With a long tenure at The White House since February 2010, John has held multiple roles including Coordinator, Senior Analyst, Analyst, Information Services Operator, and positions in the Visitors Office. Prior to these roles, John served as Vice President of Online Organizing and New Media for Ascot for Congress and worked at Spare Time, Inc. as a Doorman focused on customer service. Additionally, John has volunteer experience with Obama for America and an administrative background with the National Immigrant Justice Center. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Chicago, obtained in 2006.
